Subtlety and Fantasy

I'm about 60 hours in to FFXII right now, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The fact that the game's foundation is the combat rather than the plot is refreshing and addictive. I find it interesting, however, to note that people are bemoaning the lack of romance in the game. Then again, I may be seeing what I want to see, but here comes the theory

In many cases I can agree with you on the love story. But... (because I CAN be difficult!) Im going to have to say the theme is SERIOUSLY lacking in this game
