i got a voice mail yesterday from some lady calling a dude named rick. she claims she accidentally left her cell phone in his car, but she had a wonderfull time. so i'm thinking she left her phone there to get a second date, but he hasn't called. why do people think they're leaving rick a message when my voice mail clearly says i'm KAREN.

my answering machine says "hey, don't be afraid of the answering machine" (because i've had too many people say "well i called you, but i didn't leave a message") and the other day someone left a message that said "i'm not afraid of the answering machine. i'm not afraid of the answering machine! ...i don't know who this is. "

also, telemarketing recordings sometimes leave messages on my machine. one robot leaving a message with another. ahh!
