when i came to after my teef extraction, i insisted to my mother that i was fine and i really wanted some magazines, so could she please take me to chapters.
your experience is much more amusing, though. i hope you start feeling better soon. nausea and throwing up are the worst.
it was only when i got up, but as soon as i lay down it would go away. so i was able to sleep. i can't beleive it pretty much knocked me out all day. though i have to admit it was pretty relaxing. however i have no pain in my teeth or where the teeth used to be. it's a little sore where they were taken out and it hurts to open my jaw up wide but all in all if things stay the same i guess i got off easy. also my mom got me extra strength advil instead of the T3's if i don't need them anymore, im sure the side affects are alot less harsh. as well, no swelling, maybe a little bit but its hard to tell nor is my face green or yellow-ish.
that is all. it is almost 6 am and im testing out if my neaseau is still lurking. though i still feel a little off some.
your experience sounds very similar to mine (no swelling, not a lot of pain, etc), although i don't remember any nausea (or neaseau, as you said above - hehe). i do remember walking to the grocery store 5 hours after surgery to buy soup, then heating it up and sitting outside and not drinking much of it, then finding an ant floating in it.
when i first got home richard tried to help me drink some gatorade. he squirted it into my mouth and i thought that i had swallowed but it hadn't and i drooled orange gatorade down my shirt.
do you remember waking up from the anesthesia? that's the weirdest thing for me. i don't remember anything until i was in the car on the way home.
i hope that this doesn't happen to you, but my worst days were days 5 and 6. i actually went to work on day 4, then on day 5 i woke up and decided that it would be impossible for me to go the whole day without taking enough T3s to make me seriously stupid.
i think that something must have gone slightly wrong with mine (were yours impacted?) because after i was able to poke my tongue into the back of my mouth i noticed that there were bitty pieces of tooth or something still sticking out of my gums. i guess that's normal and they fall out eventually. but maybe that's why i felt crappy? i basically had a crazy headache and my mouth was throbbing. richard surprised me with tickets to see Kids in the Hall 4 days after the surgery and i could hardly laugh (but it was still great).
you were eating cold cuts today!? it took me until day 3 to finally eat something real, and even then i wasn't really chewing, i was just biting it into little pieces with my front teeth and swallowing it. i'm sure that the lack of nutrition had a lot to do with the fact that i didn't feel well enough to go back to work until the end of the week.
i'm not sure why things are worse later on... again, maybe with me it was because there were still bits of tooth in me.
mine were not impacted, they were all out, but in terrible shape. two were half decayed and the other two had gaping holes/cavities. he told my mom they were crumbling and was surprised i was not in more pain beforehand
