point-tipped shoes are fucking awesome. i know she's wearing all black and wearing white stockings. i know they have a bow and she looks a little too much like the wicked witch from the east from the waist down (which was totally unplanned, i'm SURE), but don't hate on the shoes in general.
i don't see why you still think that this entry still comes as a personal attack to you. your comments aren't aimed at having a discussion with me about it, you're just trying to pick little fights. your post made me think, that's all it was worth to me.
and. every comment was, in a way, anti-religious. i just took the necessary cognitive leap, which could have been not always accurate in the case of the post, but accurate as a general comment regarding the aforementioned community.
This is ridiculous. Your argument would make sense if you were talking about Ronald Reagan or Newt Gengrich or even John Ashcroft--all painfully conservative, but deserving of respect because of their intelligence. Ann Coulter is not very smart, nor are the things she says
( ... )
well, look, there are a lot of things i could pick at in your comment, but i don't feel particularly excited about hearing the support you would lend to your claims, which seem kind of baseless to me. you say she's not very smart, but don't say why. you say she's not a pundit but i mean, by the sheer fact that she makes her career from doing speeches on the current state of politics, she writes books on politics, and appears on several popular tv shows on politics, she is definitively and categorically "a pundit." also, did you even bother reading the time magazine article? but i'm surprised your first grievance is with her intelligence. that's probably the one characteristic about her that is the least disputed among critics. why comment anonymously?
although know that, if i wanted to just "cry for attention," i wouldn't just sit here an pretty anonymously post on a livejournal that is hardly well trafficked and that i barely use for anything. i don't stir shit on the internet and i never have.

david, read the time magazine article please before you comment. ann coulter's quotes get taken out of context often. at least three of the things you mentioned are at least partially referred to in the article.

also, i wouldn't exactly trust wikipedia to be accurate or at all unslanted, although it's true, a lot of the things ann says are incredibly controversial. i find them to have a different connotation than you, though. read the article, really.

I don't really have an opinion of Ms Coulter either way. I just think those shoes are hideous.
