I love the past tense in "I read my comics for heroes, and couldnt help but use them for role models", like you dont use them as role models anymore. We all know how influential Clark Kent still is!

Also, Peter Parker is one of the few (mainstream) comic book characters who you could picture actually reading a comic book. Or at least he would in his younger days. Seriously, if he wasn't swinging from rooftops and fighting crime so much, you could easily picture him on some message board posting about how Aquaman wound up with a harpoon for a hand.

Definately! He'd be all "eaten by a fish? But he's aquaman!" then he'd make a really funny joke about it.
