Visa
Just came to know that Subash got through his B1 Visa an hour back. So he should be leaving for Kentucky in the last week or Jan / first week of Feb. Now thats a relief considering the disaster that happened last year. To cut the long story short, around this time last year I was a part of a lucrative team that was just on the verge of leaving for florida The rest of my team happened to get their L1's and then there came this article on L1 and i guess the Visa Officer happend to read it over his cup of tea and boom !! He just says a no on my face!!! I must have been the only employee from whose L1 petition had got rejected (The lawyers back in Deloitte and Touche had spent close a small fortune in the hope of speedening up the process). I almost felt like i was on the shore and the was saying goodbye to the rest of my team members....of course its a different matter that the Visa was finally useless to all of them too ;), but that sure was a unforgettable experience!! that happend to me last year.
