I also benefit from the addition of caffeine to my medication regimen, although I use chocolate and/or Pepsi since I don't drink coffee. I haven't tried using it instead of the ritalin, I don't know how well I'd do without that, and as I've stated before, I'm really hesitant to change anything since I'm doing well now on the current combination of meds and supplements ( ... )

his school, unlike some other area schools, does NOT have a website where we could check to see what the homework was each day.

THEM: "Matthew would come up to us at the end of class and have us sign where he wrote down his homework assignments, and if he had none he would write 'none' and we would sign it."

ME: "So, Matthew would have to remember to come to YOU?"

THEM : "Yes"

ME: (Face palm) "Um, excuse me - - - if he could REMEMBER to come to you to sign his book, he could REMEMBER to write down his homework - but the problem, you see, is that HE DOESN'T REMEMBER!!!" The first is painfully familiar (F-dale, unlike EVERY OTHER SCHOOL IN THE AREA, not only doesn't have such a site, the teachers are contractually forbidden from communicating homework electronically, to the point where I had to physically go the school to get stuff because they wouldn't even fax it ( ... )

I'm sorry to hear that you've had to go through this too. It's maddening. How are your boys doing on Vyvanse?

It's really hard to know whether a problem is mostly physical or mostly mental/emotional. And I don't know how people who aren't both intelligent and assertive manage to deal with the medical system.
