Random acts of kindness are wonderful

I bought two pairs of boots and a pair of shoes which arrived from eBay Schuh today. I also bought some grapes, spinach an aubergine and peppers from the fruit & veg stall on campus so I was walking to my car with three boxes, a bag of fruit & veg plus my normal bag (I always take too much stuff with me). When I got to the side of the Main Library ( Read more... )

People want to help you because you are small and female. I bet if it was a regular man sized man they wouldn't!!

This is where you and i differ! If someone wants to open the door for me whilst i'm holding 7 searing hot beverages i'm annoyed, cos i can do it myself and i enjoy being self reliant and bumholish.

THough it was annoying in ASDA yesterday when i couldnt reach something high up, i'd much rather get a poking stick to bring it down on my own(on my head most likely) than have to ask someone to reach it because i'm pathetically small and female.

Sometimes being short, female and incapable of driving feels like a disability... which is probably an insult to people with actual disabilities.

You don't like helping people and you don't like being helped? Why the fuck would you be ANNOYED if someone tried to help you by holding a door for you if you have searing hot beverages? If I were in that situation I would be upset noone opened the door for me. I've carried loads of boxes of post from the office downstairs before and think it's a wonderful thing when male lecturers help me carry things or open doors for me. Or when I am carrying the bowl of washing up up and down stairs and people open doors for me.

I picture you struggling with heavy suitcases ignoring gentlemanly offers of help. Perhaps you don't like asking for help. If I couldn't reach something in a supermarket I would ask someone taller, though they tend to have things I want in reachable places, hence my buying excessive amounts of shopping...

You are a knob. Being small and female is usually a good thing.

I don't like snear at them and call them cunts for opening doors. I just think it's futile, because 99% of the time i have to get by without them there and thus am capable of opening the door ( ... )

Top Things i like about people

* When Tell you what i DO like about people though - when they acknowledge that you were at the bar before them and inform the barman/woman of this.
* When they let you know you've dropped something.
* When they hand in your mobile phone instead of stealing it.
* When you can see people enjoying themselves whilst working minimum wage jobs (as long as they still make me MY GOD DAMN COFFEE ha)
* When someone you least expect to stands up to let an old person/woman with children/lots of bags sit down (i always do when i have the option)
* I quite like it when you buy something in a shop and they are like "i'm going to buy this it's awesome"

I think that's lovely (^_^). I always feel bad because I am usually too shy to ask, you know if it's inbetween help need. If it's a pram situation autopilot takes over.
