No, we don't have to drive anywhere. We work from home, so, as long as the power stays up, we're good to go. But the weather looks set to go all nasty later today, so I won't be enjoying it too long.
How are you and hubby doing? You sound more chipper, I hope you're feeling better.
Glad to hear you don't need to risk life and limb out there. Those can be dangerous driving conditions.
Grief is an odd thing -- it comes in waves. Gradually, those waves get further apart. I think we've gotten to the point where we can access memories and feel some positive, as well as the loss. Thanks for asking.
Actually, it was OK today, just the 5-6 inches of snow, so M and I went to town just to go to town. We bought potatoes and bird suet. There was no milk and probably no bread. That's how we roll in Southern snowstorms...
Last night the thunder rolled and snapped and .... interrupted our power!
Tonight we have a nice fire in the wood-burning stove and our crazy animal babies are snug and warm. We're lucky. How is it in the nat's cap? Did you have snow yet?
The world is officially crazy when the deep South is frozen over. We didn't get the ice storm promised (yay!) but the snow is still on the ground and temperature will go to 13 tonight. My friend down the road said if she had wanted to be trapped in her home by snow and ice, she would have stayed in Ohio =)

We've been remarkably lucky this year -- we just had our first decent snowfall the day before yesterday, and that was only about 2 or 3 inches.
