Are the people who explore bdsm really healthy? Are healthy people capable of enjoying absolute control over someone? Or the opposite: being completely submissive. Testing sexual limits...hmm what an interesting concept ( Read more... )

I wouldn't necessarily say that their needs are not being fulfilled which causes them to want to explore their sexuality in this manner, but instead it better suits their character. You may find that the shy, quiet type who usually doesn't take the opportunity to express themself might have the urge to be a "leader" for once, leading to a more dominant attitude, whereas they could also be quiet by choice which would lean towards them being more submissive and vice-versa.

Whether it's healthy or not is arguable on both sides. There are the types who take it to a new and dangerous extreme, or the type who use it to vent supressed anger.

Those kinds of freaks don't bother me as much as furries, scat lovers, role players, etc.

So yeah.

Anyway, I have to deviate from Carlos's conclusion and say that I think it is definitely unhealthy behavior. Then again, that means I would have to not be lazy and argue the point so ... I'll just nod my head in concurrence with the negroid.
