SF great Jack Williamson was born April 29, 1908 in Bisbee, Arizona Territory, and spent his early childhood in western Texas. In search of better pastures, his family migrated to rural New Mexico in a horse-drawn covered wagon in 1915. He died in 2006. Considering the world he was born into and what he left, the mind boggles.
