I hope you are able to find something else. I have great faith that the surgery will go well and he'll be back in form in no time. The endocrinologist is probably right.
Still, it's all scary and difficult (had my own thyroid scare about a decade ago). Lots of love to you, my dear. This is entirely too much random crap in your direction.
Intellectually I can reason out that it's all going to be ok. Statistically that bears out (even with the crazy office statistic)...but my brain's ability to logic over my emotions is kinda compromised.
I just wish I had more. I've always been a "helper"...but I just don't have anything left in the tank, which is also upsetting...it's a vicious circle.
The mass may actually be a good thing - they can be the cause of the hyperthyroidism and can sometimes be removed. Here's hoping it is all the best possible scenario.
Just because other people are having sucky stuff doesn't mean that your sucky stuff isn't scary or awful.
The Registrar sounds ... lovely. The best critical thinkers I know don't have degrees.
