Hey Sue, I hope to be able to talk to you later...but wanted to address the PICC Line thing for you. I believe (from experience) that they want some mega antibiotics to help clear up the bacterial infection, before doing the lung draining. It's all to help Jeff get a little stronger, a little clearer, beforehand. It's unfortunate that it means a lot of back and forth for him.

Thinking of you...thinking of Jeff. I saw this pic that I want to use for a card...two wee daxie pups, looking sweet as can be...like the heart of his pups, missing him. Can dogs go in, as therapy, in the nursing home? It would do him a world of good...in awhile.

I so wish I could come and help you out, love, maya xoxo

hi, i'm not sure about the dog thing, but charles could check it out when he gets back. also think that from the renal failure, he keeps getting fluid also. oye, its always something. i'm also taking care of grandma, like she needs it. today she was outside washing windows on a step ladder. i'm going to have to smack her.

Oh Jeez, you made me laugh...about grandma...my dad is the same...coming on 91, with a pacemaker, just had pneumonia...but he'll still run the snowblower...or the lawn-mower, depending on the season. He says, "Well, I can't just sit here and breathe!" He hates that my sisters 'tell' him to do...or not do...things...the wardens, he calls them...giggle...if he only knew....

Can Jeff be on the transplant list at all? I hope the abx do something to alleviate, at least the infection. I hope they remove fluid soon.

Sorry I didn't make it to the phone last night, my son was having so much anxiety about his working situation. I can't believe how it is in the working world now...you have to have a job, before they will hire you for another job!! I'm so glad not to be young in these times.

Anyhoo...much love to you and yours...will try again, to call. xoxo

don't worry about us, you have enough on your plate. jeff is now having rectal pain, so more tests tomorrow, the camera thing. i don't think he is healthy enough for a transplant.
today grandma smacked her dr. the dr held out her hand and said here, you can smack me, boy did she let her have it. we had waited an hour for an appointment. the dr was laughing really hard.

as I said in the previous entry, thank you so very much for keeping us abreast of Jeff's condition. it is really very important to me to know how he is. Please let me know just as soon as he is able to talk on the phone so I can call and give him encouragement.
