They are good aren't they, if the first day is anything to go by, which I am sure it is. Thank you for your welcome and I am glad you found the Sentinel, it is such fun

Hi, Sue! Welcome to LJ!
I'm only a bit over a year old on LJ myself, and I'm even newer than that to Sentinel fandom (started with Buffy/Angel, so those are the two universes you'll find in my LJ). You've already gotten tips from the best--fluterbev and starwatcher307--but, for what it's worth, I did a little page in my LJ about TS, and near it you'll also find birthday tributes to TS authors polly_b and gardendoor. (I'm going to get around to all my favorites one of these days, but this is all I've done so far, since I just started in mid-November!) Here's the link: http://www.livejournal.com/users/cindershadow/4736.html#cutid1. I'm going to go ahead and friend you, with your permission; feel free to friend back or not, as you choose! (Not that we all intend to overwhelm you on your first day . . . ) I've found folks to be very helpful about answering my newbie questions, so I'm sure you will, too. So--welcome!

Hi Cindershadow, my daughter loves Buffy and Angel, as do I but she is the real fan she is collecting them all on DVD, hopefully we will get Sentinel on that soon. Thank you for adding me as a friend, I have added you to my list, as I have done with most people that have posted to me, is that alright?, or should I have asked permission from all of them? And once again thanks for the welcome

No, I don't think there's really any need to ask permission, though some people seem to do so (maybe more when it's a B.N.F.--"Big Name Fan," i.e., very popular fanfiction writer). I'm still trying to figure out the etiquette myself; some folks quite kindly write up a "friending/defriending" policy on their userinfo pages, often to the effect that you are welcome to add or drop them at will. Other folks seem to get hurt if you drop them, so sometimes it may be safer just to bookmark their LJ and go lurk (read without commenting or comment without formally friending) for a while. That way, if you decide you don't want them cluttering up your friendslist, you haven't insulted them. But when folks come over and friend you first, you are certainly free to friend or not friend as you choose! Since I went quite a while all on my lonesome and only had some folks friend me gradually after I'd been commenting a while (and still didn't write much of anything in my own LJ), I'm maybe more inclined to friend a friend of a friend (wow, that's

I'm not new to live journal, but I am new to Sentinel, so we're both newbies of sorts. Hope you enjoy it here - these ladies are the best.
