This has nothing to do with anything, but is it true that in Japan people only eat KFC and cake? and on valentines day woman give all her past lovers chocolate? I know those things sound totally bizzzare but my friend claims her Japanese friend told her those things.
i can't confirm the Valentine's Day chocolate rumor, but i'll look into it.
as for the other stuff, it's a bit of an exaggeration, to say the least. i know that KFC is really popular in Japan, but there isn't one anywhere near my place, and i live in the biggest city in my prefecture. there are way more McDonalds than KFCs near me. Japanese food is really the most popular cuisine. and all that really means is anything fish related and anything sweet (including candy and cakes).
whoops I left out a word or two. I meant to type on Thanksgiving they eat cake and kfc and its only celebrated by couples without children. I know it sounds to silly to be true.
well, they don't celebrate American Thanksgiving here, at all. earlier in that week, though, there is a holiday called Labour Thanksgiving Day, but it is more closely related to Labor Day in US terms. don't know anything about the KFC and cakes.
tell Adam not to get 'cute' while he's here, or he'll get thrown in jail for at least 3 weeks, while they decide whether to send him home or let him rot here!
