That's why I like books like Childhood's End, and The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch -- because they feature these E.T.'s that operate in ways that are almost impossible for us to comprehend. They do make one question the possible definitions of "intelligent lifeform."

I learned something today, too. Did you know the "Fall Debut" schedule on TV was created because of a deal between car companies and the networks. Sept. is when the car companies come out with their next line, and so the new shows help people know about them.
