Oh, ouch. It probably makes it harder when you feel like you have some connection like that. I always feel like I connect with cutter people more than anyone else in the world.

You have to remember that you only saw her once and you didn't have a relationship with her yet.

Speaking as someone with a history of suicidal ideation, friends with history, and two sisters who've made multiple attempts, I'm guessing this was there when you talked, but she kind of didn't want to worry anyone too much.

I admire your bravery, in both your profession and your willingness to discuss it with us.
