congratulations! and stick with it, i'm rooting for ya.
and weird about the airport dreams. I just got back after a hellish 3 hour delay coming back from boston. i guess it was about a month ago, but you told me i should update more, and i definitely am aware that i have been lax to the max on lj lately. well, no more! because i was documenting like mad, without internet access for a 6 day trip to boston. look out for the mother of all posts.... (sorry for making this about me!)
coincidentally... i'm on my 'last' pack as well. i decided a few weeks ago. technically the pack before this was supposed to be the last, but hey. i don't have a support group:) i'm going with the 8 patches left over from colorado, because i know from experience that the gum tastes like ass.
I'm late, as usual, but I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK and early CONGRATS!
My boyfriend quit cold-turkey about 4 years ago. He said it's one of the hardest things he had to do but it was well worth it.
My grandfather died of lung cancer from smoking, and I have some pretty horrible memories of his last years when he was in a lot of pain when I was a child. No one in my family smokes (probably because of that).
