You're alive! It's been two months since you last posted, glancing at your calendar. Tsk, and a while back you told me that I should post more often. ;)

How's life? If I compared you to my grandma, would you take it as a compliment? This post just reminded me of my grandma. She's been making some really neat stuff recently - this line of dolls... I don't know how to explain, but they're damn cool... I'll look around for a picture. And don't tell anyone 'cause it's a secret, but last time I was up visiting her she showed me a set of embroidered kitchen towels she's making for each of her kid's families. She's got a different theme for each one - chickens for my Uncle Brian's family, because they're keeping hens recently (in the city; they're named after the wives of famous dictators), and square-dance moves for my dad who's into contra dancing...

Sorry to drone on. This is what you get for posting at a 6-times-a-year rate. I've gotta get back to my essay that's due at 2 this afternoon...

It wasn't an asthma attack; it turns out that I'm just turning into a fish, growing gills so I can breathe underwater.

The icon doesn't mean anything. White Ninja just posted a comic that happened to have my name in it, so I clipped that panel and turned it into an icon.

most of the supplies are things i already have or would buy anyway. receiving money through paypal is free, and etsy charges ten cents per item plus 3.5% of the price once it sells. which means for a pair of $8 earrings, i have to pay etsy 38 cents. it's not that bad of a deal, i think.

of course! :) i've been meaning to tell you i learned how to needlefelt. i have a tiny bunny for you, too. i think i'll probably just end up *giving* you everything for your care package again instead of actually sending it. someday i'll figure it out :)

Yay! The tiny bunny sounds cute! I was always too lazy to felt anything. :) I'll put the bunny on my desk in the lab. I have my own desk now, so I feel obliged to clutter it up with goofy stuff to "personalize" it, since I'll be stuck here for the next 4.5 years!

I have some pink, green, and yellow wool at home that's meant for needlefelting--I was meaning to make something with it, but (see above) was too lazy. Do you want it? I think there's an ounce or two of each. They're watermelon colors, very pretty and bright.
