As I said to the fabulous Lizzie Bennett - la la la la, I can't hear you.

I know it is difficult, but like you, I am comforted by my church's transparent finances, and the fact that steps are being taken on the national level. Other than that, it isn't any of my concern.

Yes, my own individual church has financially savy people on the council and every penny is accounted for. It was just the being cornered in fellowsghip hall by someone who's sole purpose was to knock down something and to drag me down with it. Lizzie Bennett is fabulous isn't she. Had an encounter with her and she doesn't even know it, yet she helped alot.

I try to avoid information about the scandal as much as possible, too, because it makes me so sad. Ultimately, it's none of my concern: it will all get sorted out in the end, but I'm not going to let it drag me down and distract me from my spiritual journey if I can help it. I think some people get off on the scandal; they think it's exciting or something. I don't understand it.

I suppose part of stewardship would be to know at least something about it, but it was the way this guy cornered me and told me about it with such great relish that ticked me off.
