At least I assume it is a new one! Correct me if I'm wrong.
Found it on last.fm; taken by Erin Patrice O'Brien (whose gorgeous photography, Sufjan-related or not, is worth checking out!).
I know next to nothing about military uniforms, but to my eye, this outfit resembles the one worn (and made) by Major General Thomas Jefferson Chambers in the Army of the Reserve during the Texan Revolution. (Thank you, Google.) Does someone have any insight on this? I am curious!
