Sorry about double posting, but I just have to tell someone about this.

A few weeks ago I was at a ball game with my family. We went to go get food, and I saw this guy standing a few feet away from us. At first I didn't think anything of it, but after a second it registered, that looked exactly like Sufjan. So I turned back around, and there was ( Read more... )

Did you take a picture of this Sufjan Stevens look-a-like?

Hah! I'm listening to the song Adlai too! And I'm clapping along to the song. "Adlai (clap clap) Adlai (clap clap)."

If only I had a camera with me.
'Now, serious face, no smiling. Aaaaand perfect! Gonna put this everwhere on the interwebs, kthx.'

I don't see how anyone can listen to that song and not be smiling. It's so fun! I love the snare drum in it especially.

Now I'm listening to The Transfiguration. :P

Hah! "serious face, no smiling."

You should dress up like Sufjan Stevens for Halloween. Serious face + kite wings + bango = badass Halloween costume.

The Transfiguration is a stellar song. I just got the SEVEN SWANS CD. Man, what a gorgeous, perfect album.

All I'd need is some wings and a banjo. It would be epic even though nobody would know who I am. :P

Although, I was planning on being Old Gregg from the Mighty Boosh for Halloween...

(if you're gonna like anything Boosh, it would be Old Gregg)

We'll have to see who I go as. :D God I love free candy.

The only cd of his I own is Greetings From Michigan, and that my sister bought. I love actually owning cds though, it makes me feel special.

BUT OMG IF THAT HAD ACTUALLY BEEN SUFJAN I THINK I WOULD HAVE DIED.

The only time I saw someone else famous~ I cried when I got his autograph. I couldn't help myself.
(Well I don't necessarily know that Sasha Kaun (played for KU) counts as famous, but you know what I mean.)

For some reason I would just feel so embarrassed to cry in front of Sufjan.

Remember in the past when you never heard of the name "Sufjan Stevens" or his music. If you were to pass by him on the streets back then, you probably wouldn't even notice him. Okay, maybe you would. He is a strikingly handsome man. But you would think he was just another random guy strolling the streets of America. It occurred to me that hundreds of people probably pass by him every day on the streets, but they don't even notice him. They don't notice him because they don't know the name "Sufjan Stevens" or his music.

That's true.
But even if I had never heard of him before, I would be running to catch up with that. :P

I love all the dorky clothes he wears. On anyone else I would think it's odd, but on him it's so charming.

Sufjan was in my dream last night, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was about. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING. I've been trying to remember all day. I need to keep like pen and paper by my bed so I can document them. I always forget my Sufjan dreams by morning. D:

You should translate your dreams into art. For example, this person on flickr translated Sufjan's songs into art flickr user run2standstill's artwork based on Sufjan Stevens's songs.
