Yup.
I've been enjoying a bit of a crafty surge lately. It's nice, especially since I haven't really made anything in way too long. My favorite thing so far is Simon's new awesome Astronaut backpack based on this tutorial. It pleases me that he wants to wear it a lot and also that he says "Mama made it".

Last Weekend
My sister in MN asked me today if we still had snow on the ground and I had to laugh. Uh, we actually haven't had any snow at all this year. We had such great weather last weekend I was very happy we were able to play outside both days! We got a new kite and tried to fly it on Saturday at the Mukilteo beach. Sorta What We've Been Up To
Today Erik had the day off so we packed up the wagon and headed to Deception Pass. The weather was great! Not only did we enjoy the first picnic of the year, but we also threw rocks into the water, played driftwood drums, made some driftwood art, sand castles, zen gardens, bridges, and sand astronauts.

Upgrade!
I upgraded to a paid account so I can "easily" upload photos. Well, this remains to be seen as in order to choose photos, I like to see them, and to do that I use an old iPhoto version. Which sounds great. But I just got a new camera which now takes huge photos. So now I need to clean out iPhoto since there are way too many photos in there and I ( Read more... )
