I found you through a School search since we both went to the same school; if LJ is right for a chance. :P I checked your interests, we have quite a few things in common even though some of mine aren't listed. So I added you, return the add? ♥
Hello~ I've seen you around muslimgirls, and I noticed you like lolita! I'm really into the lolita style, and it's really inspiring to see someone who wears the hijab and dresses in the lolita style {I've seen your beautiful posts at daily_lolita}. I'm muslim, too, and my parents don't like me wearing lolita stuff, because they think it isn't modest. D:
Also, I see that you like anime, too! I think we have a lot in common, do you mind if I add you as a friend? n.n
Salaam. It is really nice to see that I am an inspriation. I never knew my actions would influence so many people and in a postive light too. I am sure you probably read the comments on my daily_lolita posts (especially the expo post). I personally believe you are able to wear lolita and still dress modestly. Afterall the fashion covers up alot of the body. You just have to see what works best, and mix and match those items. Arisocrat lolita is very modest! ^^ So perhaps you can explain that to them and/or show them my posts? I hope that helps. At first my mum was hesitant, and now is happier with it all. And my grandmother who is uber strict, loves my dress. I was shocked but happy at the same time. I think it is nice to make a friend who is of the same faith as you with similar interests. Maybe we can add each other to MSN [if you have it] to talk some more? Of course we can be friends! I shall add you now 8D xx
Your actions definitely are inspiring! You don't know how happy and optimistic it made me when I read/saw your posts! I thought so. And the whole idea of the fasion is to be modest, too. Aristocratic loli is actually my favorite style. 8D! I love Mana's works. *_* I don't know, I've always tried showing my parents things, but they just don't like it. But, I'm happy your grandmother and mom are so open to it. It is nice! I feel like a loner sometimes, and I was really happy to have met you, like you said, with the same faith and taste in style, etc. Ummm. Sure. I'll message you the messenger address, since it's in my dad's name. xD I don't have my own account, so we share it. xDD; Yaaaay! n___n
Thank you habibti <3 I would love to buy so many items from Atelier Boz, since a large selection of their items are perfect for Aristocratic lolita wear.
I randomly stumbled upon some old entries of yours in daily_lolita (I randomly googled "muslim lolita" out of curiosity), and, well, you seem really cool! A Muslim lolita who shares so many common interests with me. . . O: Awesome. I'm an off-and-on trying-my-best-but-often-failing, sinning more than should ever sin, convert, myself, and I LOOOVE lolita fashion. I recently bought a sweet lolita skirt from In the Starlight, actually. I don't wear hijab or anything, 'cause I have to keep my faith a secret, but I think it's really cool that you wear hijab and lolita at once. :D
Blah blah blah blah blah rambling. Okay. I'm going to add you so you can screen my friends-only entries and see if you'd want to add me. . . XD I tend to ramble and post a LOT and can get kind of weird. . .
Hello, it is nice to meet you. I always enjoy making new friends and I am still shocked that my lolita posts had such an impact on the world. A positive impact that is :D hehe
( ... )
When I told my mother about my conversion back in September, she told me I could "move the hell out." As I had no money and no place to go, I stayed. . . And, so, I have to practice in secret. >_< I've thought about sneaking around to masjid and stuff, or trying to wear hijab out in public when I don't see a chance of seeing my parents, but it seems too risky. Maybe after I graduate college, I'll be able to express myself better, God willing.
I added you on Facebook, but just be sure not to say anything explicitly related to Islam on my page! I have family on there, too. :x
I understand the predicament you are in, and so I shall not cause any trouble *hug* It is just a shame your family are not to happy about it. Hopefully in time, they will understand and welcome the idea. If you ever need to ask me anything, do not hesitate to ask. Private messages are a good way to communicate :) hehe
