You go through your whole life with people telling you not to take things for granted because one day they will be gone.  I'm sorry to inform you that it's true.  Don't take anything for granted in your life, not your family, not your home, not your successes or accomplishments, and most of all, not your FRIENDS!  Friends will be with you through

you were a good friend and teammate. i know we haven't talked much lately, and we actually didn't that much even when we saw each other. you're a good kid. thanks for letting me use that helmet.

when you arrive in Illinois, keep your head up high. don't think of this as an ending, but rather a beginning. All your friends end up scattered across the globe during college anyway, i'm sure you'll see them all again. fate has a funny way of doing that.

the most important lesson i have to teach is that in order to be successful in anything you do, you have to have confidence. actually, you don't eve have to have it. if you pretend you are confident, everyone else will believe you and they will all believe in you and believe you are amazing. then, it'll convince you that you are, and you'll have real confidence. good luck with everything in the future and i hope you're as good of a friend to the Illinois-ians as you were to all of us.
