the problem now is figuring out what to post on LJ and what to post on G+/FB

Actually, I find that fb/g+ have generally a lower level of discourse/proper debate then LJ used to, Post something serious on facebook and you normally don't get very academic debate so much as flybys

true. but LJ posts seems to have dwindled across the board for everyone too... so not many people to bounce ideas off from anymore either. so sad.
