I was wondering what was causing that hue of yellow -- no lamp I knew, but perhaps it was a new industrial thing... molten iron (in SF, hahahahahahaha!)
I see, so it was a trap! Yeah, you caught the idea of the subtlety I like... catching details in the picture with every glance, more at layers of the relationship between things in the picture. I also like the previous picture... because of the bottom contrasts so much with the texture of the sky.
I can tell you the many times in Old San Juan when I get people looking at me, with a face or asking me, "what are you taking a picture of?" It cracks me up and makes me think that I am onto something! ;)
All I got say is... MUTED COLORS RULE!!! (as long as there some accent to it ;)
*thanks*.... it was actually the sunset shining through this builidng.... it was so dark on the side of the building i was on. you are right....doesn't look real. very abstract.
