[intro]When I was little, really, when the average suburban 15-year-old was little, they idolized Eddie Coker.[/intro]
Two weeks ago, I met Eddie Coker.
Not only did I meet him, but my friends and I got to get on stage during his performance and dance! And of course, we knew all the words. And he played all the older songs, just for us.
"H - 0 - M - E - W - O - R - K, homework, do it, do it, do it, homework!" - Mr. Edward Coker

Well, I must've been about four years of age. I am in this boxed in room (well, it seemed boxed in, but don't all rooms seem that way?). Anyways... I am laying on this bed and there are about eight or ten people surrounding me hovering over me. I had no idea what was going on, I just remember being in tears screaming my head off. But I don't remember feeling anything. That was probably because both sides of my head were numbed. See, when I was born my ear canal was flat. Ear canals are normally at a slant so the ear can drain. My first memory was getting surgery on my ears. I remember seeing my dad in the far corner bawling his eyes out and then walking outside. Then I remember a younger looking doctor coming up to me trying to make me laugh - or at least smile slightly and stop crying - and he said: "You know you have a drum set?" Then he pats my tiny belly and tells me that is my own portable drum set. I remember laughing.
