Wedding stuff because it always makes me feel better
Location: At this moment its either Swan trail Chapel
Or belle Chapel. Both are small little white chapels.
However Im trying to look into Forest Glade which is also a small white church out in the middle of nowwhere .. (alll of these are snohomish county, where we currently live) but its apparently where I first went to church as a little kid :]
Date: Im unsure, i know I said I wanted it on halloween but im starting to get second thoughts. Im not even sure I want it in the fall or winter. ;_; Maybe spring? I want it to be nice out but not hot.
Time: Maybe around 3:30 or 4. then around 4:30-5 wed make our entrance and start the recpetion, dance a little, have dinner around 6-6:30 and then get out of there while its still light enough for pictures :D
Theme: I want it to be actual authentic 1950's. Very traditional, small, romantic, white, and pretty conservative in the look. But fun in the entertainment
Formality: It will be a semi-formal occasion. I would like my guests to dress up but no need for tuxedos and ballgowns.. i think the guests should be under dressed in comparison to the wedding party but still well dressed.
Colours: Im having a hard time with this one. I think i want champagne.. but i also want peachy light pink. maybe we can tastefully do them together?And of course ivory.
Guests: the number of guests is completely up in the air obviously.. but im guessing somewhere under 100. Jon and i dont have a lot of friends and our family that we would invite is fairly small. And it will pretty much just be family and their guests.
Wedding party:
Bride: My mum will be my maid of honor, my sister hannah will be a bridesmaid and debbie will be a junior bridesmaid.
Groom: Im not sure, i think he might be going with his two brothers? Or maybe his cousins if they are available.
Officiant: it depends on the final venue. If its Forest glade, were going with their pastor(how is that spelt ?D:) if its the other two we will just choose from their preffered vendors. I dont want someone who will crack jokes and stuff. The wedding isnt about them and how funny and witty they are. They will read their little written bullshit and go away XD
Transportation: The car Jon and I will leave in will be a vintage british taxicab! I like it more than the other fancier cars.. and it still fits and assload of people! I think this is the car i will come to the ceremony site to in as well. Jon can have whatever he wants :]
Favors: So far I think im going with monogramed cupcakes from indulge cupcakes in puyallup. They come in individual white boxes and id tie them with ribbons matching my wedding colours. I might make a custom flavor.. if not ill probably go with carmel macchiato
Drinks: I wont be serving liquer at my wedding. I dont trust my family or jons. We both have alcoholics in our family and i dont want to have any drunks there. We will have dinner wine and champagne for toasting and thats it. I know it sounds strict and mean but its sooo tacky when people drink at weddings D:
Food: I dont think any of the venues have caterers.. nor a fullservice kitchen so thats something wed have to figure out then. Im sure they have a prefered vendors list. But I would like to have comfort foods maybe? Being me i want steak >_> but if that is expensive we could do something cute and kitche and have like burgers with the redxwhite checked papers and shakes and stuff. I guess it really depends haha.
Music
I dont plan on having live music, i dont think we can afford it and I dont think the venues have the room for it..We will probably just make a playlist and hook the ipod to the stereo system like at jons mums wedding which actually worked quite well. I would really like to have all of the songs not have words unless they are for dancing and dinner and stuff.
Jon: jon gets to walk down to whatever music he wants. i think he almost seriously wants the bells song from madden XD

First dance:Cat Power's cover of Sea of love (As heard in Juno) This song is perfect. It doesnt have any hidden meanings.. or anything. Its pure its sweet and its about love and perfect for a first dance.
Father daughter dance: Probably butterfly kisses cause my dad is a sentimental FAAAAAAAAAAG lol.
Cake Cutting: Dean martin-When youre smiling well this isnt final at all it was just a temporary though

Linens and tableware: I havent thought much on this. It really depends on the venue. Id like to keep it simple.. white linens, white china, silver silverware. It would be cool if i could have tafeta linens but im perfectly fine with cotton or whatever.
Centerpeices and table decorations: Ive really gone back and forth on this. Flowers are really expensive, die fast and are almost wasteful. I know i want candles even if they have to be in decorative jars. Maybe cake stands with candies and such on them, im not really entirely sure.. It would be nice though to have something mildly interactive I would like to keep everything on the table white/ clear/ peach/ champagne in colour even the candy.

Place cards and seat finders: I really dont want to have numbers at my tables D: I want something subtle but not confusing so people can reconize the different table. They wont need place cards because their favors will be sitting on their plates and will have their names on them.
Isle decorations: I havent put too much thought into this. I think ill have pews no matter which venue so that takes care of the seats..I would like to have a white runner. I think I would also like either candles lining on tall stands or small ones or azalea trees...and tulle garlands (oh yea tacky tulle) going from pew to pew and baskets hanging from the end of each pew with wedding rice in it. Im boring but i want it to be very traditional looking.
Other: I would like to have an arch, just a small one behind the priest with flowers and a bow (not a big nasty one just a small one) and two bells.
FLOWERS
Brides Bouquet: I want to have white roses with ruffled peachy coloured edges, white hydrangeas and baby's breath. Everything has meaning. I want a simple handtied boquet, and tied into the ribbon i want a small dasy (also has meaning) I think i want real flowers.
Toss bouquet: It will be a cheap handmade fake flower one that will resemble the one i carry.
Wedding party boquet: I want something light and simple for them. Probably just a stem(chunk) of white hydrangeas with baby's breath and also hand tied
Boutineirs: I will probably be boring and go with the matching rose
Its like all of these flowers but not in layers, theyed be just randomly but meticulously placed and the roses wouldnt be pink they would be white with ruffled peach edges
also the ribbon would be nicer.
Programs and invites: The programs.. im not even sure if im going to have..its kind of a waste seeing as my wedding isnt going to be a big production. The invites i would like to do myself but we will see. I have an idea for them. Id like them to be the wedding colours that champagne and ivory and a touch of peach with black accents and nice fancy (but legable .. fuck) font and a ribbon on it. I want it to be faint thinish stripes like the bg's in some of imai kiras work with a black fancy outline in the middle with our names and a black bow on the outside then the info inside in black and white. The envelopes will be plain but i would totally love to get my own seal (sp? haha) 8D and use the wax and everything.
I will not be doing save the dates, they are dumb.
Guest book: I would like to do something fun here. I know i had an idea before but i forgot. Maybe a polaroid type thing where someone can stand and everyone will take a polaroid of themselves and then place the picture in the book and write something with the picture :]
Cake: I want a cake with white fondont.3 layers and round and fairly plain. I mean fuck the thing is going to cost a couple hundred and its just going to get half eaten.. its really not important :x The inside .. well i dont know Im not a big cake eater.. maybe chocolate? haha whatever jon wants he can have as long as its not coconut.
Cake Toper: I would idealy like to get a vintage wedding topper. I want it to be a man and woman standing next to eachother (obviously) lol and the man wearing a tux and the woman wearing a fluffy dress and for there to be an arch above them with bells. If i cannot find one or afford one (the vintage ones get really expensive D: ) I may make one and just buy figures and dress them up and make my own arch seeing as it really wouldnt be difficult.
I actually found one that was perfect at the thrift store while we were living in puyallup and i would have bought it with my birthday money if id had enough.. but i didnt. It would rock if they still had it. Second perfect is on google but i cant get the image itself cause the site its on is retarded but if you google search 1950's cake toppers its second from the last.
Traditions: I want a lemon tree! A small potted fake one.. shoot i might even make it myself from a floral foam ball, leaves, a twisted branch body and lemons. But i want people to hang their wishes for us on it!
I also want to do the penny in the shoe, its something my grandmother did too and id like to do it as well. I think the dollar dance is discusting and i will NOT be doing it, its rude and tacky.
Wedding attire:
Bride:I have a newer drawing but i cant scan it :( anyways ive gone ove this a lot lol
Colour and fabric will be taffeta and organza or whatever in ivory. midl calf length with a very full skirt. Ill also be wearing a corsette with it.
Accessories: short ivory gloves that only make it as long as the palm of my hand, pearl earings, maybe a pearl necklace. very simple no bling.
viel: the veil will be custom just like my dress made of the same shit. Elbow length with a couple of layers attached to a comb or a headband.. probably a comb. i want it to be plain.
hair: very classy and down while being up? Like i want it to be pincurled and pinned out of my face. something very 1950's.
makeup:i want thick fake eyelashes like marilyn monroe (without looking costumy) and red lips and nice skin. thats about it.
shoes: ivory flats
Bridesmaids: my mum will have a seperate dress in champagne that will be lat 50's ish.. im not sure what it will look like. My sisters will be wearing something similar and also in champagne.. they all want to have sleeves understandably.
Groom and groomsmen: uh black tuxes? I want to have pretty traditional suits but something jon will like too.
OTHER:I would like to have 2 doves released when we leave the building. 8D
I would also like to get embroidery done on the inside of my shoe and maybe my dress or veil. Something cute and short and our names and date.
im kind of one of those sick engraving feinds and i would like our cake cutting set to be engraved and our wedding bands as well lol.
If its affordable for us, we would also like to have a videographer as everyone sas its the fastest day youll ever have and i will want to watch it later and be faggy and make my poor dear future children watch it. har har har
