foolishly trying to think again

This is what I am wondering: Where is everyone going to church? My sister's theory is that we just aren't going. People are going, certainly, but we aren't. I'm not sure how it all began... I had actually come to conclude some of those "modern gnosticism" tendencies, myself, as I left Evangelicalism for Catholicism. But as I'd been raised Catholic, this was probably much less painful for me, and more culturally comfortable. Indeed, it was in Evangelicalism, along with my own studies of the ancient and medieval church as a History major, that I inadvertantly gave myself the catechesis I'd failed to receive as a Catholic.

Not much helpful there: just thought I'd compare notes. I can sympathize with the spiritual lethargy that causes the foot-dragging on actually attending, too, but that's another story....
