Suitability:
While it sounds simplistic to say to that since Miyaji is a teenage boy and therefore knows about sex, he should automatically be suitable for a game setting like Zodion's. But from a canon like Starry Sky that's actually a bit of a feat, not including the ~After~ series. Starry Sky is a otome game based on young romance and since it doesn't go beyond kissing, discreetly hinting that the characters have knowledge about sex calls for some attention. In Miyaji's case, he implies to the protagonist that if she isn't careful, boys their age will go further than they should with her. While her innocence and naivety doesn't allow the game to explore the point further it strengthens the understanding that Miyaji knows about sex and how it can just be a physical desire and not something that's explicitly reserved for love.
And although Miyaji would like to think he's better than that, he really isn't to some degree. If the protagonist is successful with his lover's route, he attempts to kiss her without a second thought. This is pretty surprising due to his secretly romantic nature, the way he berates others for being perverted and the fact that it was his first kiss ever. This provides evidence to the fact that he can and does succumb to those base physical desires that a lot of people have when the mood is right.
Then in terms of being suitable for defending himself, being plucked out of his boarding school environment will be useful to him. Even though Seigetsu Academy provides Miyaji with food and accommodation, the school's system still requires Miyaji to be responsible and independent. Since Miyaji can't cook, he needs to plan out how he'll buy his meals from the cafeteria which requires lot of preparation and saving. Additionally, each dorm in Seigetsu Academy only has room for one person, meaning he can't really depend on anyone else to look after or clean up for him.
On a separate yet still related matter, Miyaji is also the vice-captain for the Archery club. While archery in the game is mainly seen as recreational sporting, archery is also an offensive skill. Since he is very proficient at it, trained properly, he could use it as a means to defend himself.
Power: Water - Manipulation
Personality: (300 word min)
As the personification of a Scorpio, Miyaji can be described by almost all the traits associated to his star sign.
On first impressions, Miyaji is most notably very obstinate. He's strict, intimidating and frowns more than any young teenage boy should. While being the vice-captain of his school's archery club allows him to be entitled to such traits, unlike the captain, he has a hard time separating work from play. During club hours, Miyaji feels responsible to ensure that all members dedicate their full efforts in their training and that they are respectable to the other members as well as the sport itself. His attitude towards those responsibilities makes him less tolerable of slackers. Miyaji usually expresses his anger by calmly scolding others, but he can yell once he's lost his temper. His determined attitude, while making him a very formidable athlete, also makes him a very terrifying guy for those who don't know him very well.
A lot of Miyaji's stubbornness stems from a somewhat traditional mindset. Other than general rules, Miyaji likes to adhere to a lot of old-fashioned social rules such as being a gentleman to women and respecting elders. This dictates how he responds to certain people and situations due to way he classifies them in his head. For example, Miyaji deeply respects the archery captain, Kanabuko and almost immediately backs down from a fight whenever he intervenes. The thought of inconveniencing such a kind superior makes him feel extremely guilty whilst also forcing him to realize the errors of his way. Then with the female protagonist, Tsukiko, Miyaji gets very embarrassed whenever she tries to tease him (though he probably sees it as her attempt at flirting with him) and gets annoyed when people have impure thoughts about her. Miyaji's innate response to breaking these rules lets him compare how others would react and whether or not they're the type he needs to reprimand for being disrespectful.
Kinose (a newcomer into the archery club), in a lot of ways, acts as a foil because even though he doesn't meet Miyaji's expectations of a nice guy, Miyaji can't really fault him for being a bad one either. While Kinose is nonchalant about archery due to his natural talent, he isn't extremely arrogant about it or unfriendly towards the other members. And while Kinose is very forward with Tsukiko, he's respectful to her boundaries. So even though Miyaji wants to accuse Kinose for being a distrustful addition to their archery team, Miyaji actually has no basis for an argument. While it could be inferred that Miyaji simply feels jealous, it's probably more appropriate to say that due to his stubbornness, Miyaji actually feels conflicted to accept someone that so openly contradicts with his moral beliefs.
But despite his stoic and mildly terrifying demeanor, Miyaji has a hidden sweet side. This is most obvious by the habits he keeps secret from others. The main one being his uncontrollable sweet tooth. Despite hiding it from others, once the protagonist notices that all he's having for lunch is a parfait, Miyaji pretends to act indifferent about it and gets somewhat annoyed when she points out the negatives for such a diet.
While his dependent relationship with sugar is a fun novelty aspect to his character, it's symbolic for the sweetness in his personality that he doesn't acknowledge. As time passes in the game, the members of his archery club cement themselves as good friends to him. All of them become good friends that he feels protective, concerned and compassionate of. Miyaji has a firm trust in his relationships and if he considers them a friend, he'll stand up for them and cheer them on no matter how bad it seems. B-But obviously he would never actually say that he liked them or anything!

"Zodion" First-Person Network Entry:
[When the feed turns on, the network is greeted by the view of the Luminar temple before it whips around to show a close-up of a young man, with a very annoyed expression. It then zooms out as he holds the device out from arm lengths. He clears his throat as he looks directly into the device's camera.]
Oi, enough is enough. Inukai, Shiratori, Koguma…
[He doesn't believe in the concept of The Twelve or the obviously unfamiliar environment currently around him just yet. It's incredibly creepy to think that some weird semi-religious cult has managed to kidnap him from his own school. So instead he rattles of a lists of the main troublemakers he knows from his world. Miyaji pauses before he says the next name, unsure if he should say it since it'll might cause a further rift in their relationship... especially if he's wrong...]
… Kinose.
[He didn't want to sound accusatory, but it probably came out that way. Miyaji coughs as he tries to hide that fact and quickly moves on.]
Just because we won the preliminary round, it doesn't mean you now have the time to start slacking off with silly pranks. Did you all forget how close the Inter-High competition will be coming up now? We have to train harder than ever.
[A deep sigh is released from his throat and he drops his shoulder. The reminder makes him realize how he had forgotten those responsibilities…]
-Look, I'm not going to yell at anyone. I don't need to hear how you guys managed to pull all this off or why you're going by the Twelve now. If any of you see this just come and get me.
[Miyaji flips the camera, focusing its view on the most significant landmark he can notice. The temple. Then he turns the device back to him to give a final message.]
I won't move from this spot.
[Feed ends.]
"Zodionlogs" Third-Person Prose Entry: (200 word min)
Bleary-eyed, Miyaji sat up slowly as his body tried to fight the residual tiredness from the 'juice' he drank. It almost startled him when his blurry vision refocused and he caught a glimpse of grass. Wait, wasn't he inside the cafeteria...? He quickly leapt to his feet as he tried to get a handle on his surroundings. There was a panicked voice inside of him telling him that this wasn't Seigetsu Academy, that there definitely wasn't a place on campus that even remotely looked like this... but that was impossible wasn't it? He was out like a light for only a few short minutes, celebrating the archery team's victory at the preliminary round. Even if he passed out, even if they were busy having fun and even if the cafeteria was filled with only their presence... how could he have been taken so far without anyone realizing?
Miyaji wasn't sure if this was a serious kidnapping or a silly prank. The whole reason he was asleep, he remembered, was because Shiratori forced him to drink that stupid orange soda. Was this his motive all along?
"Tch. If I ever get my hands on him..." he seethed.
Cursing to himself, Miyaji tried to calm down. It wouldn't be productive for him to stand around, especially if it was already daylight. If he couldn't find a way out, he'd be late for his first class. However, instead searching for a path out, Miyaji's gazed locked onto the stone altar nearby. A box sat atop of it, beckoning him to open it.
"What...?"
It was strange. He usually wasn't the type to stray, but he couldn't help moving closer towards it. Miyaji approached it warily, looking over his shoulder in case the kidnappers decided to show or if there was a more distinct to clue to his whereabouts. When nothing change, Miyaji steadily stepped over the shallow pool that encircled the altar. But all the precaution in the world couldn't have prepared him for this. He clutched his arm as he felt a sudden sting, hissing at the slight pain. Then before he could closely examine the source of it, a large gush of water rose up. He was stunned.
Before he knew it, he was staring at his nude reflection. The sudden sight of himself caused him to blush and turn away. However, it was a vain attempt. It was as if he was inside a gallery and the main exhibition was him. The whole thing discomforted him, but once he noticed his tattoo, the Scorpio sign, resting on his arms the mirrors disappeared as suddenly as they had appeared.
"Huh...?"
Miyaji lifted his arm, tugging the sleeve of his school shirt a bit to inspect it close. The stinging sensation that had occurred just moments ago still faintly lingered. It told him it was brand new. But, wasn't that impossible? He couldn't recall seeing it when he awoke. Once he dropped his arm, the only thing he could notice now was that tattoo... Maybe it was already there and he was simply too tired to realize it before? Maybe his mind was being theatrical on him?He knew he couldn't handle anything carbonated, maybe he just didn't realize the extent of it and now he was suffering weird side effects?
While he would have questioned himself more, Miyaji remembered his goal of approaching the box that sat on the stone altar. The pull wasn't it as tempting as before but having gone through such a strange mental illusion, he may as well open it. As the box unlocked, Miyaji noticed a device that reminded him of a phone and a letter. He reached for the letter, reading it intently for a proper explanation of his whereabouts.
He frowned once the letter stated "For your constant forehead creasing, you have been chosen from among all the times and galaxies to aid us." This was a definitely a joke, wasn't it? Didn't the other members continue Kinose's weird joke about his serious expression? Miyaji read the letter twice; making sure sure he understood it. But the letter's vagueness was fuelling his annoyance rather than his curiosity. Zodion? The Twelve? Did Seigetsu Academy harbor some kind of secret society? Since the school specialized in subjects like astrology, he honestly wouldn't put it past a couple of oddball students to create such a thing.
But no matter how silly and farfetched that sounded, it felt more comforting than to assume the worse. A harmless prank sounded a lot better than being kidnapped by the safety and security of his own school.
