Last night I was supposed to meet a friend at the restaurant Mundos. I was about 10 minutes late and when I got there the place was full of cops with AK-47s and I wasn't allowed to enter, so I got annoyed and went for an ice-cream elsewhere instead.

I honestly don't know what they were trying to prove. There's a lot of white expats, for example, who are here to do consultancy - they're here legally by may be technically working illegally. A lot of the actual illegal immigrants are from other African countries. Also, if you're a Moz, you still get taken to the police station until someone brings the documents.

I can imagine. A few people had their documents taken- I don't think anyone had to go to the police station, thank goodness. Also, the A rep from the ministry of tourism personally came and appologised to Albert (the owner) and the customers.

Oh yeah... I had a meeting with one of the guys there not too long ago- plus I also still carry my expired diplomatic ID card.
