[ Jdae is slightly miffed that she got shut out of SCIENCE, but she's still in school when things blow up. Survival instincts? What are those? She comes hurrying back, coughing as she's met with all the green smoke and trying to wave it out of the way. ]
[PB pushes the door open, and sort of... tumbles out, almost tripping over Jade on the way. For a moment, she just stands there, doubled over, coughing like the dickens; but, at length, she manages a half-hearted smile, and a thumbs-up.]
I'm good!
But, boy, that did not go to plan...
[she has not yet noticed her... altered state, though the fact that her head is really really light will probably sink in before TOO long...]
[it happens to every young woman eventually, jade. i'm sure you'll get your turn to be a green nearly-bald freak of nature soon enough.
She points back into the room. Through the smoke, you might be able to make out a pair of safety goggles on the floor... which are now green, and entirely opaque.]
I suppose that's good, right? I mean, if it did this to my skin and hair, just imagine what could have happened if it penetrated a mucus membrane...
[She actually seems pretty interested in imagining this. Well, even grotesque accidents of science are still science, right?]
[Wherever explosions are? Pokey has found he has to go. That is just too much to ignore. He stops at the sight of the green smoke, though really it's just to let it air out some before he bothers to go in.]
[Action] - poo, i have no appropriate spearmint icon. :csugaringNovember 15 2011, 20:35:03 UTC
[By this point, Peebles has returned to the scene of the crime; now, though, she's wearing a scarf over her face - to act as a gas mask, of sorts - and wielding a handheld fan, in an attempt to air out the room a bit faster, and to increase visibility to the point where she can actually tell what the hell she did to the place.
She turns at the noise, and gives a friendly wave.]
Mffo!
[...baby no-one can understand you with that thing on your face.]
[Well, you aren't attacking him, so he sees absolutely no reason to run at the moment. If he actually gave forethought to things, he probably would have found a way to cover his own face as well, but screw that. Too late now.]
Huh?
[Yeah, not sure what "Mffo" means, but whatever. He's too busy looking around the room.]
So....that explosion. You do that? Because that was pretty cool.
[Marceline, luckily (or maybe not so lucky in PB's case), is also a teacher at the high school! She's heading out of the music room when she hears the EARTH SHATTERING KABOOM and, naturally, has to go check it out.
Leaving her bass behind (SEE HOW WORRIED SHE IS), she heads over to the room and practically slams the door open.] Hey! Are you...
[And the smoke is starting to clear.] You....
[She just. Pauses. Taking in Peebles' new appearance.]
[Oh boy she winces at Marcie's voice. REALLY DID NOT WANT YOU TO SEE HER LIKE THIS! She... squeaks, in fact, and considers, for a moment, trying to hide.
Buuuuut it's too late for that, isn't it. So, she just sighs, lets her shoulders droop, and braces herself for incoming mockery.]
[Finn had been opening his locker when he heard the explosion coming from PB's class only a few doors down. He drops all the things he was holding and runs down the hall, throwing open the classroom door]
Princess!
[He coughs a little and waves away some of the green smoke, then runs over to her.]
...well, I suppose there's a chance that I'm just experiencing Phantom Limb Syndrome...
[But she's pretty sure she's used both arms and legs so that's probably not the case. Still, she lets herself be led out of the classroom, where her current state is more readily discernible (if it wasn't already).
[Feferi stop being upset by this that is her job and you are just compounding it---]
Ah, no, it's- [not.... exactly okay, but. she did get some encouragement a moment before by one of the people whose opinion she values the most, so...] -it's okay. Sort of.

Yeah, that was me. I was trying to fix my hair, but...
[Her face falls, as she indicates the spotty green mess on her head.]
...along with all this, I made it worse.

Go ahead... get it out of your system.

Oh man! You look pretty good like that, Bonnie!

If you think so, then you've got terrible taste!
[Yeah Peebles is not acknowledging any restraint on Marceline's part. (nottalking)]
Nnn... this wasn't supposed to happen...

Just a... miscalculation, that's all.

C'mon, we should get you out of the room.
[And he's taking her by the arm to drag her out of the classroom.]

Once out, she gives herself a once-over.]
Nope, still in one piece. [...] Mostly.

I'll find a way to fix it, I'm sure.
