Here in the Netherlands we have an organisation thats the same as PIPA and SOPA. They managed to force (through courtorder) 2 major internetdistributors to lock off all their clients from the website Piratebay.org. They took it back to court to get the ban lifted because it goes against our constitution but for now we still can't access the website.

GTFO our internetz! I would sign this petition but because I dont live in the USA I dont know if it will help. I made sure my american friends did though.

Haha. In my letters, I mentioned the hypocrisy of censoring our citizens while criticizing the censorship in other countries. I hope the state department starts pressuring Congress to drop this ridiculous censorship. We're already hypocrites in other ways, but to lose free speech to this type of censorship undermines our identity as a democratic country.

SOPA doesn't stand a chance anymore, its pretty much stuck in limbo atm due to not enough support and Obama administration blocking it. Plus the biggest things that it proposed have already been sliced off, but it most likely still wont go anywhere.
