Today I spoke with my mom's doctor who said they were unable to manage her fever with three strong IV antibiotics but was still talking about transitioning her to oral meds and sending her home on Thursday. That seemed wrong to me. If strong IV antibiotics can't control whatever infection is causing the fever, how are we supposed to manage it at

She woke up and ate a little. Her speech is worse than yesterday. Her heart is racing, her hands restless, grasping, reaching into the air for invisible things. She knew me when I got here and managed to tell me "terrible pain." They hadn't given her pain Meds since they moved her here 5 hours ago and didn't remember they should have until I asked about it. She just had percoset laced applesauce.

oh nooo.. They don't give her the attention she needs and deserves at all! Someone should keep an eye on her pain and all. The poor woman.

I haven't had chance to comment on your previous updates, but I have been thinking of you all.

Positive thoughts heading her way for a recovery, but if she did indeed have a premonition and this is her time to go, I hope her passing is as easy as it can be.

Thanks all. She lost her ability to swallow this morning. She swallowed more applesauce with pain Meds but minutes later choked on apple juice around 7 this morning but can't swallow puréed breakfast at 9.

We can't get her home until tomorrow morning. I hope she lasts until then. She really wants to die at home.
