Long time no talk to. Katherine and I have finally gotten internet in our apartment here in Kirkland. It's nice to feel linked to everyone again. Oregon play Arizona today and unfourtunatley they don't televise it up here--poop! I have on my duck colors and everything. Running errands mostly today. I work at Starbucks tomorrow. I got a job there

hey congrats on starbux! its good to have places with benefits, with this crappy economy sometimes thats as good as anything else! and anyway i used to make coffee at the greatful bread and i actualyl liked it as long as the customers aren't mean because the "coffee is too hot" or "there's not enough chocolate in their mocha."

PLUS with my fine bachelor's degree i just got a job at american eagle! i guess that just means more time to travel and be crazy kids and then take all the good jobs once the stupid baby boomers retire. cheers to us!

yay for your job. Don't worry about it not being worthy of a bachelor's degree, I work in a bookstore and only make 50 cents less than the assistant manager. At least you're making money and not being a bum

Silver Spoon

That's really funny that you said you didn't like the Silver Spoon. I was reading in Gourmet after the Silver Spoon was releases in English the same thing about how wonderful it was blah blah and I looked at it and found it really lacking. My favorite cookbooks are the Hermes House ones. They do tons of pictures of the preparation of the food as well as the finished and presented project. They also do a lot of ethnic food which I'm interested in cooking but don't have much experience in. I'm glad I'm not the only one who reads cookbooks because they are fun and not to plan the large family meal.
