I am totally with you. After surgery, even moments after, despite the pain, it just felt so good to finally feel normal. I say it was the best decision I have ever made. As for work, you may want to take at least one more week. I was able to be out and about around 2 and a half weeks after surgery, though there were still many things I couldn't do and lifting was out of the question. By four weeks I was more or less back to normal, though again I think it took about 6 or 8 weeks before I felt like I could lift anything heavy. I'm so happy for you. Also, have fun with the looks from people who can tell somethings different but are afraid to say anything cause they don't want to admit they were looking!
