Rhonda and Christy once took me to a fried chicken restaurant where they served you the fried batter drippings as an appetizer with dill pickles. You'd grab a pickle slice, pick up the crispies with said pickle slice and toss it all in your mouth. Even I didn't like it, so you know it was bad.

there's a 'saloon' in traverse city that serves deep fried dill pickles with ranch. i liked it.

i don't know that i would as much if it was seperate though, pickles amidst a bunch of crunch, i mean isn't it all about the juxtaposition? all in the same bite-ness?

i reckon so.

oh, Sidetracks in Ypsilanti serves pickles wrapped in ham and cheese, and deepfried in eggroll wrapping. they also have plain ol' deepfried pickles. holy crap. so good! deepfried pickles in any form.

prodigal son in chicago has deepfried pickles on the menu. good with ranch dressing!
