I never write good news. And I was waiting for good news to come but I am beggining to think it won’t. My dad is in the hospital with an unknown bacterial infection, it was supposed to be minor but it’s almost been a week and they’ve doubled his antibiotics twice and have gone in for major surgery.

I really don’t know how to handle this situation.

DVD players and visits probably do more than you know. You're a very strong person, being there for you dad is probably just what he needs from you.

Oh my darling, I'm so sorry to hear that things aren't going so hot right now. Stay strong, I'm certain that the doctors will figure out what's going on and take right good care of your dad. Things are obviously rough right now, but karma and all that good stuff will blossom just around the corner. I'll keep you and your dad (and Stephen with his thumb <3) in my thoughts. Just the fact that you are so worried and putting so much effort into making your father feel better emotionally makes you definitely NOT USELESS.

So again, stay strong and remember that I love you endlessly.
