Does it offer driver training too? I want to get a provisional permit this summer, and it requires driver training as well as driver ed.

wait isnt driver's training where you actually drive?
you cant drive without a permit. i think you mean that you need to have an instructor ready to give you driver training...right? like they ask you if you have an instructor for drivers training or something...

but no i dont think they offer drivers training.

Drivers ed is the theory part, and drivers training is the practical part. Both are required for a provisional permit. You apply to DMV for a provisional permit after you have completed drivers ed and have enrolled for drivers training. They will ask for proof of both, and they will ask you to take the written test. If you pass, they will issue you a provisional permit, which, for the moment, is invalid and will let you drive with an instructor only. After your first lesson in driver training, the permit becomes valid (this is to make sure you actually go to drivers training). Now you can drive as long as an adult who is at least 23 years old and has a driver license is in the car with you. You can apply for a provisonal license after finishing the driver training, and waiting until it's been 6 months since you got your provisional permit. This time you'll take the driving test, and if you pass, you get the provisional license, and you can now drive alone (although there are some restrictions).
