Realistically, either sit it out if you don't want to play or play without practice if you do. The latter can be fun, and if the game really bothers you nobody is going to object to your not playing it.

I don't think learning how to play shooty games will help deal with zombie problems and other blegh things. You'll just have to deal with them being zombies. ._.;;
If you played them before, you're probably better at them than me. XD; I can't play shootygames without an actual gunthingie (or at least a wiimote). But, I mean. Don't you just. Aim and shoot?
You'll presumably get a little better once you start playing! Besides, playing something you're bad at can be fun as long as you don't mind losing. This is my philosophy for all competitive games. XD

that's what I do!
and play them with friends, or people online. they make it a whole lot funnier! that's probably why I like the game. c:

But yeah, if it's too much for you, then just tell 'em and sit it out for now. Maybe you can work over it with time!
