Staying positive

I didn't want to write a journal entry when I was feeling down; it's much more fun to write a journal entry when you've had a great day. But in the spirit of documentation, I feel I must wrote about the disappointing as well as the good ( Read more... )

Darn all those crazy American tourists taking like a zillion photographs every second! I mean come on, what other culture could possibly be stereotyped for doing that?

Don't feel bad about not being able to hit on that Japanese girl yet. Perfect makes practice (strike that, reverse). And when in doubt just use small sentences like "Anata wa kirei desu." Bumbling cute tourists could be something they find cute. Oh, and don't forget your Making Out In Japanese when all else fails.

Sorry, Chris. Things in Japan have been kind of hectic... who thought a little thing like a language barrier could get in my way? I did update today, but I didn`t have a lot of time because I don`t have internet at my host family`s so I have to use the school computers. It sounds like you`re doing pretty well in Florida, balancing a nice social life with your studies. Homework on a Friday, networking, working in a lab? That`s fantastic!
