Nano represents the hope, ingenuity, perseverance of a resurgent India. But the story of Nano also demonstrates the Great Indian Crab Mentality at its best - if I can't get the benefit, no one else should! Indian public memory is really short for we seem to have forgotten the obstacles and tantrums thrown in the path of Nano launch by our own Mamata Bannerjee!

Ironically, she is now allied with the Congress. Politics make strange bedfellows but THINK - if we are proud of the Nano we must be critical of the leaders who tried to pull it down for selfish vote bank politics. And I would deem the Congress also GUILTY by association in this case.

Ratan Tata has etched his name on the annals of Indian Corporate; probably M/s Mamata may be lucky to find an obscure single line mention as the leader who unsuccessfully attempted to thwart the Nano.
