I believe the answer is yes. But you will need to iron it a lot afterwards.

I'm pretty sure you can... when I was a Job's Daughter some of the girls had robes made out of crepe-back satin and that was allegedly the advantage.

My mom says it depends on the crepe - if it's made of polyester, you're okay, but if it's rayon or acetate it's not. You want the gory details about how you burn a sample to find out?
