According to the fortune/feng shui book/almanac that my mother-in-law purchased recently, snakes are expected to encounter many changes in the year of the fire dog. Career-wise, I may get a promotion/salary hike. Wealth-wise, money may be in-coming. Family/relationship-wise, an addition to the family number or maybe a third party

The fact is that we are all wired for infidelity, and under certain conditions, we'll all do it. The way to protect your marriage...is to recognize the threat, and do something to prevent it from happening.
Being each other's favorite leisure-time companions, and not being away from each other overnight are also important safety measures.
