I've looked into LuLu before. It's a good deal for artists that don't have any start up capital. My problem is that I'm not an artist, and realistically, it's difficult to ask an artist to work for free... because the art end is so much more time consuming than the writing. For a graphic novel or 5 part comic series your asking someone to basically give a year of free labor without any guarantee of income.

That's why I need to self fund the whole thing.
