The first story I submitted into a contest won the grand prize in the Castle Arts and Literature Council Awards. I still have the plaque.

I worked for 9 months painting ceramic dragon statues. I still do this for gifts and occasionally for sale.

I once took first and second place in a writing contest where multiple submissions were allowed.

As most of you know, I am not a happy individual. I struggle with life. My life hasn't been the most difficult, but there's been a lot misery in there.

I am 132 pages into Harry Potter. this is the first book in the series I've actually read. I listened to 4 and 6 on audio book though. I've seen the movies. I may get through the book without anyone spoiling it for me! It's a much easier read than I'd anticipated, I'm clipping along at about 80 pages an hour.
