For me it was. Used to be a huge Batman reader, from '85 to the late 90's.
There are some issues with it. Choppy editing screws up some of the action. The score is a bit too bombastic at times. Dialogue (especially from Katie Holmes) is a little corny. Buts its highly emotional and the scene with the Tumbler (Batmobile) was just fucking awesome.
I'm not so sure about that - they way they set it up is that at this point in time, Scarecrow is not exactly a major adversary. He's just a pawn to the real villain. I sincerely hope that Nolan and Bale (and everyone else, for that matter) keep making more of these...I'd love to see another film on the Batman vs Joker angle done by these guys.
The only thing that bothered me in the least is that for microwaves that powerful, anyone standing remotely nearby the device should've been melted. *shrug* Damn good film regardless.
I had a good feeling ever since they first showed a clip of the new Batsuit - without nipples.
