 I just watched "Running with Scissors", and for the most part, it reminded me of exactly what my childhood and teen life was like with my mom, minus the shrink, weird outside family and gay sex. The rest of it - spot on.

I read it before I saw the movie - it was really amazing! Are his other books as good?

I didn't know he'd written others. I heard him interviewed on NPR about RWS when it first came out and was impressed with his sense of (dark) humor despite his difficult life.
