You are a suicide survivor as the term is commonly used in literature, people left behind after a loved one has committed suicide. The person who attempts but does not complete suicide is a suicide attempter, or suicide attempt survivor, while the person how has committed suicide is called a suicide completer.

As for blaming yourself or others blaming themselves, try to remember that the person who suicided (my favorite term, not a word but I don't like "committed") did so out of extreme emotional/mental pain. Most people who have attempted suicide have stated that they didn't want to die, just wanted the pain to stop.

I wish I could say something to help but I know nothing I say will bring your sister back. I am sure she must not have been thinking clearly when she did it you don't seem like bad person to me. thank-you for sharing your story. Thoughts of the family is a good anti-trigger, for me and I am sure plenty of other people. just live your life full of life and joy enough for the both of you, I am sure she would have liked that. Take care of yourself. ♥
